Erin Krakow was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and is an American actress and producer. Known for her roles in Army Wives (2007), A Cookie Cutter Christmas (2014), and When Calls the Heart, she is an actress and producer (2014). She grew up in Wellington, Florida. She is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall.
In addition to her degree from the Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida, Erin also holds a BFA from the Juilliard School.
While pursuing a degree in drama at the Juilliard School in New York City, she began her acting career on stage, appearing in The Importance of Being Earnest, George the Fourth, and Steel Magnolias.
Erin made her acting debut in 2014 as the lead in the Hallmark Channel drama series When Calls the Heart alongside Australian actor Daniel Lissing. She adopts the role of Miss Elizabeth Thatcher, a teacher who was created by Poppy Drayton for the movie that served as the inspiration for the series.
